BACKSPLASH WITH FISH
Backsplash with Fish is a custom designed project for a private home. The fish motif was interesting to the family on different levels. The couple were intreigued by fish prints made by a local artist on a trip to Key West, where one is a native; the models for the drawings were prints of real fish by the couples' daughters. Incorporating personal memory into commissioned work is important to me. In that way those living with the piece relate to the piece with thier own experiences as well as a sense of aesthetics.
